About The Tickets
You are bidding on up to five (5) side-by-side seats to see Sigur Ros at The Chicago Theatre. This is a SOLD OUT concert, and Richard Marx has donated the tickets he purchased for the concert. This is a great opportunity to see one of Richard's favorite groups while benefiting one of his favorite charities.
The tickets are priced individually, so, if you are the winner, you will be pay the final sales price multiplied by the number of tickets won, plus a 10% buyer's premium.

Hey gang,
I became a big fan of the band Sigur Ros from Iceland about 2 years ago, and had the great pleasure of seeing them perform live at the Lyric Opera House in Chicago on their last tour. I got tickets for the Chicago date of their current tour, only to find myself having to travel to Los Angeles on the same day as the show, September 24. I was about to return the tickets for a refund when I had the idea of auctioning them to the highest bidder, with all proceeds going to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
I'll also throw in a signed copy of the "Duo" CD by myself and Matt Scannell. Aside from seeing an amazing show at the beautiful Chicago Theatre, you'll be contributing to helping find a cure for a horrific disease.
I hope you'll bid on the auction, and I wish you all the best of luck. As for me, I'm so crazy about Sigur Ros I'm flying to another city on their tour to catch the show later in the month.

Buyer's Premium
This auction includes a 10 percent Buyer's Premium. A Buyer's Premium is an additional fee charged by our auction partner, BusinessHere Inc., to defray the costs of operating this site. It is added to the final bid price and is payable by the buyer to BusinessHere as part of the final sale price. The bid price that you see will be net of the 10% Buyer's Premium, which will be added to the final bid price to arrive at the selling price.
The following example illustrates how the Buyer's Premium is calculated. If an item sells with the final bid price of $250, then the selling price will be $275 ($250 plus a 10 percent Buyer's Premium of $25) for each ticket purchased.
Payment Processing & Shipping
At the conclusion of the auction, our auction partner, BusinessHere Inc., will automatically charge the credit card on file. Upon payment verification, the tickets and CD will be shipped to the winner(s) by UPS 2nd Day Air. Once the package has shipped, the winner will automatically receive an email from UPS with a tracking number. The winner must sign for the tickets, so be sure to provide a daytime shipping address, otherwise delivery may be delayed.
This auction uses an Auction Extension feature. If a bid is placed during the final 5-minutes of this auction, the software will automatically extend bidding in 5-minute increments until there is no additional bidding in a 5-minute time period.
1. Type of Bid
Regular Bids: Regular Bids display the full amount of the bid and you are responsible for paying the full amount of the bid if it is a winning bid. Regular Bids cannot be updated. If your Regular Bid is outbid, you will automatically be notified by e-mail, and you will have an opportunity to place another bid. If you win, you will automatically be notified by e-mail at the close of the sale.
Proxy Bids ( ): Leave this field blank unless you want to use Proxy Bidding. Proxy Bidding allows you to enter the maximum value you are willing to pay for an individual item. Once you enter this value, the software will automatically increment your bid until the maximum amount is reached. The software keeps your Proxy Bid hidden, and the price will increment only if competing bids have been placed on the same item. Use this time saving feature to bid on individual items of interest. If your Proxy Bid is outbid, you will automatically be notified by e-mail, and you will have an opportunity to update your bid. If you win, you will automatically be notified by e-mail at the close of the sale.
Proxy Bids may be updated at any time. Simply enter the new amount, then select, "Confirm Bid". Please note, you will not be allowed to update your Proxy Bid below the Current Bid amount.
2. Placing Bids Placing a bid is a binding contract in many states. Your bid acknowledges your agreement to the User Agreement and/or Terms of Use on this auction site.
